Friends of Guys Marsh
A charitable organisation developed to support initiatives at Guys Marsh prison. The Friends group have been active and energetic participants in supporting the development of the Jailhouse Café at HMP Guys Marsh.
Rotary Club of the Island and Royal Manor of Portland
Rotary Club of the Island and Royal Manor of Portland have offered their friendship and fundraising help to the Jailhouse Café at the Verne. They have sponsored our smart new aprons, provided books for learning, held their meetings here and are regular café customers.
Portland Community Partnership
PCP, a local community based organisation who link all community partners on Portland together. Active in developing the Portland Plan and fundraising for the island. The PCP have held their meetings at the Jailhouse Café and adjoining conference centre.
Island Community Action
ICA, a local community group with an active volunteer base around the island. Organising events, helping those in need on the island and making activities accessible for older people.
Portland Community Organisers
This busy team of organisers were established to find out about the needs of local people and act as connectors to join groups together to achieve shared outcomes.
Weymouth and Portland Community Partnership
A wider partnership group for the borough bringing together community groups with local authority to share ideas and jointly address issues within the area.
A locally based group offering an inspiring range of contemporary art intended to raise awareness. This year’s theme is margins, boundaries and portal points. b-side are holding an event at the Jailhouse in the autumn 2013.

A local food shop stocked with goods from Portland and the surrounding area
The Dorset Shop
A fantastic range of goodies from around the county.
Dorset Community Action
A Dorset wide group assisting community interest groups and other community groups with many community related issues and helping the community to grow.
The Triangle Trust
The Triangle Trust funds specialist community and voluntary organisations working with carers or the rehabilitation of offenders or ex-offenders within the UK.
